With a small, exclusive programme of comfort and owner-oriented blue water yachts, the shipyard in Les Herbiers on the French west coast is specifically seeking to differentiate itself from the Sun Odyssey cruising programme and is building a bridge to the upmarket luxury segment. The two models Jenneau 57 (test in YACHT 17/09) and Jeanneau 53 (test in YACHT 3/10) offer the buyer even more extensive, high-quality basic equipment and a great deal of flexibility for individual customisation wishes.
The French have now given the interior styling of both yachts a comprehensive update. The focus of the work: more light from outside during the day, more pleasant lighting with artificial light at night, plus higher-quality materials for the upholstery covers and for the furniture surfaces with a larger selection of woods, colours and qualities.
Jeanneau has also worked hard on the details. The central seating area has been redesigned in both boats and the saloon table can now be electrically raised and lowered to different positions depending on the intended use. In addition, there are numerous innovations in favour of a more attractive appearance, more comfort and increased safety. Jeanneau will present the new styling of its premium yachts at the boot trade fair in Düsseldorf (19 to 27 January 2013). Prices currently stand at 535,380 euros (Jeanneau 57) and 341,410 euros (Jeanneau 53).
Jeanneau has also reorganised and further expanded its sales structures. As a supplement to the existing German dealer network the company Gründl-Bootsimport in Bönningstedt near Hamburg will be introduced as the new sales partner for Jeanneau and contact partner for customers in northern Germany in particular.
